The DonorDrive team is back from the Peer-to-Peer Professional Forum Conference in sunny Miami. This year, the event broke attendance records with more than 460 attendees. As the largest conference for peer-to-peer fundraising, we’re proud of our history sponsoring this event. From small beginnings, it’s become the go-to conference for learning—and especially for networking.

The highlights from this year’s conference included a high energy keynote from nonprofit marketing and online fundraising expert Kivi Leroux Miller, sponsored by DonorDrive. Kivi shared top strategies to retain event participants year after year with her topic “Digital Strategies That Boost Retention”. You can see the video  here.

DonorDrive clients ruled the Breakout Sessions, with Tracy Earll of The National Hemophilia Foundation and Betsy Drach of Team World Vision tag-teaming to share their expertise on another hot topic, “Activating Zero-Dollar Fundraisers”, sharing tried-and-true ways to get event participants to fundraise. Nicole Dolan of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention covered “Mission Engagement on Your Event” and showed how micro-experiences have helped grow their Out of the Darkness Community Walk series to more than 450 walks.

DonorDrive also sponsored a pre-conference session: “Create an Amazing Fundraising Experience”. This was an intensive hands-on workshop led by nonprofit marketing guru John Haydon along with members of the DonorDrive and Eventage teams. John Haydon shared strategies to create a better event experience through digital marketing, starting with targeting your audience for the event. Matt Clark, DonorDrive Senior Account Manager, helped attendees make their event more memorable and craft their event story. DonorDrive Director of Design, Matt Radel, introduced the audience to the concept of design sprints for testing new ideas for peer-to-peer events. Meghan Nash, DonorDrive Account Strategist, worked with attendees to create social media ads for their events. Ally Brooks, Event Production Expert at Eventage, shared some trade secrets to a successful event day experience. Make sure to catch the video of John Haydon’s session presentation.

We’re thrilled that we had the chance to meet so many people at the sessions and at the DonorDrive booth. Congratulations to Melissa Parsons from the American Diabetes Association who won $500 Amazon gift card during the DonorDrive text sweepstakes.
