Welcome to DonorDrive

DonorDrive is a commercial application. This SERVICE is provided by Global Cloud, Ltd. dba DonorDrive (“DonorDrive”) and is intended for use as is. This Privacy Policy is not intended to cover information collected by any third party website.

This application is used by nonprofit organizations to handle event and campaign registrations, solicit donations, and promote fundraising pages. We take your privacy extremely seriously and will never sell, rent, or lease your personally identifiable information to any third party individual, government, or company. DonorDrive will not use or disclose the information stored in the application, nor will we reach out to the contacts provided by the nonprofit as part of their fundraising efforts.

This page is used to inform application users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information if anyone decided to use our service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The personally identifiable information (including your name, address, email address, or credit card information) that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We provide important information for individuals located in the European Union, European Economic Area, and United Kingdom (collectively, “Europe” or “European”) below.

Personal Information We Collect

While using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information to provide appropriate services and experiences. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this Privacy Policy.

Personal information you provide to us through the Service or otherwise includes:

  • Business and personal contact information, such as your first and last name, email and mailing addresses, phone number, professional title and company name and information.
  • Content you choose to upload to the Service, such as text, images, links, comments, and form results.
  • Feedback or correspondence, such as information you provide when you contact us with questions, feedback, or otherwise correspond with us online.
  • Registration information, such as information that may be related to a service or an event you register for.
  • Usage information, such as information about how you use the Service and interact with us, including information associated with any content you submit to us, and information you provide when you use any interactive features of the Service.
  • Information provided by job applicants, such as professional credentials and skills, educational and work history, and other information of the type that may be included on a resume or curriculum vitae.
  • Marketing information, such as your preferences for receiving communications about our activities, events, and publications, and details about how you engage with our communications
  • Other information that we may collect which is not specifically listed here, but which we will use in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.

Information we obtain from social media platforms. We may maintain pages for our Company on social media platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google (Google Privacy Policy), YouTube (YouTube Privacy Policy), YouTube API Services, Instagram, and other third party platforms. When you visit or interact with our pages on those platforms, the platform provider’s privacy policy will apply to your interactions and their collection, use and processing of your personal information. You or the platforms may provide us with information through the platform, and we will treat such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Information we obtain from other third parties. We may receive personal information about you from third-party sources. For example, a business partner may share your contact information with us if you have expressed interest in learning specifically about our products or services, or the types of products or services we offer. Your contact information may be collected by a third party and provided to us in connection with your access to one of our resource materials (such as DonorDrive reports or guides). We may obtain your personal information from other third parties, such as marketing partners, publicly-available sources and data providers.

Cookies and Other Information Collected by Automated Means 

We, our service providers, and our business partners may automatically log information about you, your computer or mobile device, and activity occurring on or through the Service. The information that may be collected automatically includes your computer or mobile device operating system type and version number, manufacturer and model, device identifier (such as the Google Advertising ID or Apple ID for Advertising), browser type, IP address, general location information such as city, state or geographic area; and information about your use of and actions on the Services, such as pages or screens you viewed, how long you spent on a page or screen, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times, and length of access. Our service providers and business partners may collect this type of information over time and across third-party websites and mobile applications.

On our webpages, this information is collected using cookies, browser web storage (also known as locally stored objects, or “LSOs”), web beacons, and similar technologies, and our emails may also contain web beacons. See our Cookies section below for more information.

How We Use Your Personal Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy or at the time of collection:

To operate the Services. We use your personal information to:

  • provide, operate and improve the Services
  • provide information about our products and Services
  • establish and maintain your user profile on the Services
  • enable security features of the Services, such as by sending you security codes via email or SMS, and remembering devices from which you have previously logged in
  • communicate with you about the Services, including by sending you announcements, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages
  • communicate with you about events or surveys in which you participate
  • understand your needs and interests, and personalize your experience with the Services and our communications
  • provide support and maintenance for the Services
  • to respond to your requests, questions and feedback

For research and development. We analyze use of the Services to improve the Services and to develop new products and services, including by studying user demographics and use of the Services.

To send you marketing and promotional communications. We may send you DonorDrive-related marketing communications as permitted by law. You will have the ability to opt-out of our marketing and promotional communications as described in the Opt out of marketing section below.

To display advertisements. We work with advertising partners to display advertisements elsewhere online. These advertisements are delivered by our advertising partners and may be targeted based on your use of the Service or your activity elsewhere online. To manage our recruiting and process employment applications. We use personal information, such as information submitted to us in a job application, to facilitate our recruitment activities and process employment applications, such as by evaluating a job candidate for an employment activity and monitoring recruitment statistics.

To comply with law. We use your personal information as we believe necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and legal process, such as to respond to subpoenas or requests from government authorities.

For compliance, fraud prevention, and safety. We may use your personal information and disclose it to law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties as we believe necessary or appropriate to: (a) protect our, your or others’ rights, privacy, safety or property (including by making and defending legal claims); (b) enforce the terms and conditions that govern the Services; and (c) protect, investigate and deter against fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical or illegal activity.

With your consent. In some cases we may specifically ask for your consent to collect, use or share your personal information, such as when required by law.

To create anonymous, aggregated or de-identified data. We may create anonymous, aggregated or de-identified data from your personal information and other individuals whose personal information we collect. We make personal information into anonymous, aggregated or de-identified data by removing or not utilizing information that makes the data personally identifiable to you. We may use this anonymous, aggregated or de-identified data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes, including to analyze and improve the Service and promote our business.

Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in case of an error in the application we collect data and information (through third party products) called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies
DonorDrive collects necessary technical information to allow you to access and interact with our application. DonorDrive does not share this information with third parties.

Access to your Personal Data
We provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is correct and current. Registered users on our nonprofit client sites using our platform can view and edit personal information they have already provided at any time.

Opt out of marketing communications
You may opt out of marketing-related emails by following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions on the communication, or by contacting us at support@donordrive.com. You may continue to receive service-related and other non-marketing communication.

Security
We value your trust in providing us your personal information, and are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. We restrict access to personal information collected about you to our employees, our nonprofit client employees and partners, those who are otherwise specified in this Policy, or others who need to know that information to provide services to you or in the course of conducting our business operations or activities. No method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We maintain appropriate physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information collected via our platform, and we restrict access to your information by unauthorized persons.

Our Privacy Policy does not cover links to websites operated by third parties. Please review the privacy policy of each web site before you provide any personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy is intended to provide you with the safest and most secure experience possible. Since technologies change, we reserve the right to change, modify, add or remove portions of our Policy at any time without prior notice. Please periodically review our Policy for changes.

Acceptance of Platform Privacy Policy

By using DonorDrive, you agree to the terms of this Platform Privacy Policy. From time to time DonorDrive may make changes to our application and this privacy policy, and your continued use of our application shall be your agreement to these changes.

The information provided in this “Notice to European Users” section applies only to individuals in Europe.

Personal information. References to “personal information” in this Privacy Policy are equivalent to “personal data” governed by European data protection legislation.

Controller.  Global Cloud, Ltd. dba DonorDrive (“DonorDrive”). is the controller of your personal information covered by this Privacy Policy for purposes of European data protection legislation.

Legal bases for processing. We use your personal information only as permitted by law. Our legal bases for processing the personal information described in this Privacy Policy are described in the table below.

Processing is based on your consent. Where we rely on your consent you have the right to withdraw it any time in the manner indicated when you consent or in the Services.

Use for new purposes. We may use your personal information for reasons not described in this Privacy Policy where permitted by law and the reason is compatible with the purpose for which we collected it. If we need to use your personal information for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and explain the applicable legal basis.

Sensitive personal information. We ask that you not provide us with any sensitive personal information (e.g., information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, criminal background or trade union membership) on or through the Services, or otherwise to us.

If you provide us with any sensitive personal information to us when you use the Services, you must consent to our processing and use of such sensitive personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent to our processing and use of such sensitive personal information, you must not submit such sensitive personal information through our Services.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, to establish or defend legal claims, or for fraud prevention purposes.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for which we process your personal information and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

When we no longer require the personal information we have collected about you, we will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible. If we anonymize your personal information (so that it can no longer be associated with you), we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

Cross-border data transfer

If we receive or transfer your personal information from Europe or Switzerland to a third country and are required to apply additional safeguards to your personal information under European data protection legislation, we will do so. DonorDrive complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework Principles and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the EEA and Switzerland to DonorDrive in the United States. DonorDrive has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles, and DonorDrive is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”). If there is any conflict between the terms in this Privacy Policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, DonorDrive commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information. European and Swiss individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our Privacy Policy should first contact DonorDrive at support@donordrive.com

DonorDrive has further committed to refer unresolved Privacy Shield complaints to JAMS, an alternative dispute resolution provider located in the United States. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your complaint to your satisfaction, please visit https://www.jamsadr.com/file-an-eu-us-privacy-shield-claim for more information or to file a complaint. The services of JAMS are provided at no cost to you. If neither DonorDrive nor JAMS resolves an individual’s complaint, the individual may have the ability to engage in binding arbitration through the Privacy Shield Panel. Additional information on the arbitration process is available on the Privacy Shield website at www.privacyshield.gov

DonorDrive may share personal information with third party services providers that perform services on behalf of DonorDrive. DonorDrive may be liable if these third parties fail to meet those obligations, and DonorDrive is responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

Your rights

European data protection laws give you certain rights regarding your personal information. If you are located within the European Union, you may ask us to take the following actions in relation to your personal information that we hold:

  • Access. Provide you with information about our processing of your personal information and give you access to your personal information.
  • Correct. Update or correct inaccuracies in your personal information.
  • Delete. Delete your personal information.
  • Transfer. Transfer a machine-readable copy of your personal information to you or a third party of your choice.
  • Restrict. Restrict the processing of your personal information. Individuals may have the right to limit the use and disclosure of their personal information as required by the Privacy Shield’s Principles, such as whether your personal information is disclosed to a third party or used for purposes materially different from the purpose for which the personal information was originally collected or subsequently authorized by you.   • Object. Object to our reliance on our legitimate interests as the basis of our processing of your personal information that impacts your rights.

We may request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and process your request. Applicable law may require or permit us to decline your request. If we decline your request, we will tell you why, subject to legal restrictions. If you would like to submit a complaint about our use of your personal information or our response to your requests regarding your personal information, you may contact us or submit a complaint to the data protection regulator in your jurisdiction.
